Weddings at Calvary
Congratulations on your engagement!
We are honored that you would consider sharing this important and special day in your life at Calvary. You do not need to be a member of Calvary UMC to have your ceremony in our sanctuary. To reserve the church for your wedding, check our calendar on our home page as soon as possible. The church staff will work with you in arranging a date and time that is available for your ceremony. Calvary UMC has a wedding coordinator who will work with you and/or your wedding planner to arrange details pertaining to the service and to help make your wedding ceremony run smoothly. It is important to note that it may be more difficult to schedule your wedding on and around major church holidays (i.e. Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day, Holy Week - between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday) as well as home football game days for the United States Naval Academy in the fall. Additionally, the holiday weekends of Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving are difficult to schedule so it is strongly advised to reserve well in advance if you are considering these time frames. Once you have decided on a date, a $250 non-refundable deposit will be required to reserve the church. Our church sanctuary seats approximately 300 people on the main floor and there is a chapel that can seat approximately 40 people. The sanctuary is air-conditioned and handicapped-accessible with special pew arrangements for wheelchairs on the main floor.
