Calvary United Methodist Church offers an energetic and diverse music and arts program with opportunities for everyone. New participants are always welcome. Chancel Choir & Calvary Choir
Weekly Rehearsal: Wednesday, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Weekly Service: Sunday 8:45 a.m. (call; 8:00 a.m.)  For the service at 11:15 a.m. (call; 10:30 a.m.)

Both ensembles maintain a diverse repertoire of sacred choral music consisting of everything from 17th century polyphony to gospel.  The two choirs combine to present special services during Advent and Easter and to perform masterwork concerts.  As musicians, members are committed to excellence in all endeavors and strive to hone those skills which define good ensembles.  New singers are always welcome!

Calvary Ringers
Weekly rehearsal: Tuesday, 6:30 - 8:15 p.m.
Plays in service monthly

An intermediate bell choir which plays a variety of music and also participates in special events at the church and in the local community. This ensemble is directed by Dave Rainey and serves approximately once a month in our Traditional worship services during the school year. We are looking for additional ringers to cover more bells. Experience helpful but not required. We’ll teach you how to ring!

Praise Team: Contemporary Ensemble

Weekly rehearsal: Thursday 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Weekly service: Sunday 10:00 a.m.

Calvary is blessed with one of the best praise teams in the area, led by Naval Academy musician Ira Ostrowski. Membership in this group is by audition/interview with Ira, and new members are added as openings occur.
